Concert on the Drillfield

The PanJammers and Island Pan will be performing in the "Friday Night Out" concert series. We'll be on the Virginia Tech Drillfield from 6:00-7:30PM on June 5.

Concert Caribe

The Concert Caribe has been canceled. But be sure to be on the look out for our performances during the warmer months, including the Lawn Concert, Summer Solstice, and Steppin' Out.

Pocket-sized Steel Drum

For anyone who has wanted a steel drum that is easy to tote with you wherever you go, there is a solution! There is a catch, though. You need to have an iPhone or an iPod Touch.

There's a new 99-cent application out there that is based on a steel drum called Steel Drum Caribbean. You can PanJam in a freestyle kind of mode or play along to some existing songs including Happy Birthday, Fur Elise, and Jingle Bells.

A Preview of the Mix

It's an exciting time for the PanJammers and Island Pan as we continue to prepare for our big Blacksburg show in November. Ready for a little preview? 

While the show is dubbed the Caribbean Music Fest, we have quite a variety of music on tap, so much so that the term "world music" seems quite fitting. Expect some Classical, Indian, Latin, Caribbean, Pop, and good old fashioned Rock 'n' Roll! Who knew steel pans were so diverse!
